Ode to an Angel

Never before have I beheld such a beauty,
Nor will I
For such perfection shall never again grace this
Earth
A being, so graceful in stature
And countenance that it is impossible to believe that it comes not from the heavens, A symbol of all that is good and bright. She graces our presence with her light, Eyes twinkling,
A sea of words tumble from her mouth, such as that of a waterfall From the enormity that is a mountain. Head cocked, she laughs, A sound more beautiful than the ringing of church
Bells, a voice that is holier than all
That is good and true. Despite this,
An apotheosis of virtue,
She graces us with her presence.
I alone hear
The bells and peals of her laughter, and hold it
Close
To my heart so that it shall sustain me through
The darkest of winters.
A rose, though beautiful, could never outshine her,
For this being,
This angel
Is the brightest star in our wide universe
I know not why I am gifted with her presence,
But
I hold it close to my heart,
Knowing
That her company shall forever bolster me.
Hark, I should only hope
